and down goes the hair, which you cannot see because of the glare and my shitty photography. I don’t worry too much about the border between the hair and the skin at this point, it’s a tricky area and is easier to execute with glazes.
and onto the poodle skull. I rented this from the Bone Room in Berkeley, and it came with a penis bone. I kid you not.
the skull was actually kind of hard to paint so I plan on doing a lot more work on it in the coming days. something about the combination of very subtle warm and cold tones makes the color pretty hard to capture.
