So i’m not sure if this painting actually took only 14 days. the last few have been short sessions, and by no means could be considered full days of painting…but there’s no way this painting went that fast, they never do. but then again, it is on the internet as such…so it must be true. [...]

The halo is down and things are looking much more complete…especially with no more blank spots. the figure is so dramatically lit that I decided the halo didn’t need to be another light source, hence the subtle black one. she has hair. I’ll get some close-ups going soon, but again, i’m running into glare problems…harsh lighting and wet paint. this first pass on the hair took about 2 hours. and onto the arrows and background. because of the angle of the red arrow, I’m doing my best to paint the end very loosely, so (hopefully) I can get it to look a little out of focus…since its so much in the foreground.  like the left hand, mushing the edges into the background should help. [...]
